An Insight Meditation Retreat with
David Chernikoff
Creighton University Retreat Center – Griswold, Iowa
Wednesday, July 30 – Sunday, August 3, 2025
Registration opens April 13, closes July 16, 2025.
Retreat Description
The theme of this retreat derives from a profound teaching by Dogen Zenji, a highly respected Japanese Buddhist teacher. He taught that “Enlightenment is intimacy with all things.”
What this statement actually means and how we apply this teaching in our lives as modern spiritual practitioners is what we’ll be exploring in this uplifting and life-affirming retreat.
A significant portion of our time together will involve alternating periods of sitting and walking meditation in Noble Silence. There will also be instruction in the practice of insight meditation, dharma talks on the retreat theme, experiential exercises, and opportunities for discussion. Together we will create a caring, supportive learning community that encourages each participant to bring to greater fruition their best human qualities and to celebrate the awakened heart that we all share.
Fees
Actual Cost $675 | Reduced $570 | Supporter $770 | Benefactor $890

None of the fees go to the teacher for offering the teachings. Teachers receive financial support for their work strictly by a separate, voluntary donation. You can learn more about this on our Teacher Support page. We encourage you to support the teacher and the continued sharing of the Dhamma through a financial contribution.
